for the Renewable Energy Trust

Arthur D. Little was retained in 1998 by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative to screen and provide a comprehensive assessment of the renewable technologies eligible for investment by the Renewable Energy Trust. This assessment included:

Cost and performance characteristics

Forecast of future technology and market trends

Identification of key applications and markets

Estimation of the broadly-defined market potential in the region

Definition of technical and/or market barriers and opportunities for each technology

Identification of Federal programs to be leveraged by MTC to maximize potential of the Trust


This report has been an important component in the development and focus of the initial strategy for investment by the Renewable Energy Trust. The report is provided below in
