Simplified Spot Network Process
Basic Requirements
Eligible projects are inverter-based facilities with power ratings of 10 kW or less that are located on spot networks. Projects entering this process must be submitted through the simplified process and are moved to the spot network process. Projects must pass all three of the following review screens:
Screen 1: Is the installation on a spot network?
Screen 2: Does the facility use a qualified inverter (meets UL Listing 1741) with a power rating of 10 kW or less?
Screen 3: Is the aggregate generating facility capacity on the circuit less than 1/15 of the customer's minimum load?
Screens 1 and 3 can be estimated at the time of application, but require utility review to confirm. The customer should be able to ensure that Screen 2 will be met before applying. If the project fails any of these screens, it is sent to the standard review process.
