Decription: In this student guide presented by the Alliance to Save Energy, students will investigate forms of energy and energy conversion devices. After the class has familiarized themselves with the terms in the energy glossary provided, they will complete charts regarding energy sources, conversions, and examples and then answer follow-up questions to relate previous knowledge to the worksheets they will complete in groups.
The students will brush up on research skills and basic math, and within their interactions with other students, draw conclusions on the process of energy conversion in the environment.
This guide can serve as an introductory activity to understanding energy and fuels and how they are related to everyday life.
