POSITION: Clean Energy Intern
RESPONSIBILITES:
The Clean Energy Intern will assist the staff of the Clean Energy Program working on the Community Wind Collaborative, which provides services to municipalities interested in developing wind projects on municipal land. Specific tasks may include:
- Coordinating the review of municipal applications for MTC assistance
- Monitoring schedules and deliverables from the consultants who provide services to Community Wind towns
- Assisting with the upgrade of on-line mapping of wind resources in New England
- Supporting the documentation and evaluation of the Community Wind initiative
- Researching issues relevant to wind energy development in Massachusetts
- Development of materials for the Clean Energy website
- Logistical support of external reviews, stakeholder meetings, and workshops
QUALIFICIATIONS:
Upper-level college student or graduate majoring in environmental studies, public administration, sciences, engineering, planning, or related fields. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. A familiarity with wind energy and/or with geographic information systems technology is desirable.
