Guide to Solar Electricity for Massachusetts Businesses
This brochure guides Massachusetts businesspeople through the process of deciding whether and how to have solar panels installed on their buildings, from economic reasons to invest in solar energy, to how to find a contractor, and what state and federal incentives might be available. Available in two formats on the linked section of the website.
Production Tracking System (PTS)
This system tracks the monthly electrical output of renewable energy generating
projects funded by the RET. You can access records, PTS summary
data, the PTS reporting form, and other materials.
See Massachusetts Solar Energy in
Action
A significant portion of green building projects incorporate
solar panels (photovoltaics). Through this website, you can learn how different
solar installations in Massachusetts perform on a daily basis. You can
also compare the systems and observe the impact of different weather conditions,
seasons, and times of day.
Renewable Energy Trust Statutory Report FY2004
This report details programs and activities of the RET. It includes
facts, charts, and activity descriptions, among other information.
Clean Energy Technologies
These MTC webpages provide detailed information about six clean and renewable
energy technologies: solar energy (photovoltaics); wind; fuel cells; bioenergy;
hydropower; and ocean energy. Learning more about these technologies is helpful
in understanding how some of them relate to green buildings and infrastructure.
Green
Buildings
The MTC Green Buildings webpages provide more information about how green
buildings are developed. The following two sections contain a wealth of links
to MTC’s and other organizations’ resources:
