POSITION: Industry Investment and Development (II&D) Intern-02
The Industry Investment and Development (II&D) Intern will assist the staff of the II&D Program in a number of ongoing projects in support of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, including:
- Plan and coordinate logistics for seminars and meetings including venue selection and all operational details;
- Develop webpage and other communications content;
- Research opportunities in defined international markets for Massachusetts companies in target industry sectors including clean energy and life sciences;
- Background research on both foreign and Massachusetts companies as needed;
- Summarize relevant reports and articles, as needed;
- Data collection and analysis related to economic and commercial trends in specified international markets;
- Create charts and graphs and assist in drafting of reports and presentations;
- Participate in meetings and assist in other related tasks, as needed;
Our “ideal candidate” would be an upper-level college or graduate student with a major in business, economics, or a variety of international disciplines. Excellent research and communication skills; familiarity with the use of office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and experience coordinating meetings are essential. Course or related experience in international relations, economic development, and foreign language skills will be considered a strong plus.
